Why, hello readers! So happy you stopped by our blog today. We have an absolutely delightful event to share with you. Our team recently had the pleasure to plan, design and produce a spectacular Wedding Weekend Kick-Off party at the Conservatory of Flowers. Set on the eastern edge of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the Conservatory of Flowers is a place of beauty. Built in 1879, the internationally renowned landmark features Victorian architecture with five distinct ecosystem galleries. Inside, an endless parade of rare and unusual flowers are on display to encourage conservation, education and enjoyment of nature. Outside the conservatory, vast green lawns, a terrace and pavilion offer one of the most unique event spaces in the city. And that’s where the planning and design begins!
Hosting an outdoor event anytime of year in San Francisco has it challenges! From unpredictable weather to securing street permits or protecting natural spaces, we’ve managed it all. And of course we’d be remiss not to mention the newest challenge to events: health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19. So for this garden party, we were ready to dig in, rise to the occasion, and do what we do best: produce a seamless event from start to finish.
Utilizing the Victorian architecture of the Conservatory’s layout, our team was able to transform the expansive lawn into an intimate space. Ranging from vintage wrought-iron benches to luxury estate chairs and sofas, we grouped a variety of pieces together to create cozy seating areas complete with bold patterned pillows. Inspired by the Conservatory of Flower’s botanical spirit, side tables and coffee tables topped with a variety of bright and colorful flowers complimented the design.
For entertainment, guests were treated to the Jazz Quartet from Pure Ecstasy while passed canapés and champagne were tray passed. After all, a little bubbly goes a long way to getting guests on the dance floor. As the sun set and the skies grew dark, our heat lamps weren’t the only glowing lights on display. Guests were treated to a floral light show spotlighting the entire building of the Conservatory of Flowers. With floral and botanical graphics, the building was transformed into a modern art installation.
We truly hope you enjoyed this spectacular event design in the heart of San Francisco. If you’re interested in hosting an event at the Conservatory of Flowers, please reach out and we’d be happy to work with you.
