All across the world, major cities have an energy and pace that you can feel just spending a few minutes walking around. Sounds, sites and smells all contribute to the atmosphere of cities where every single minute, big things are happening. In our very own San Francisco, you can walk each neighborhood and experience the energy of each section, see amazing sites, and catch whiffs of clam chowder on the piers. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the City by the Bay, visitors and residents alike can easily find enclaves of the city that act as an oasis. Today’s blog entry features one such oasis at Pier 27. This unique wedding venue is where the Morgan Events wedding planning team set to work creating a wedding design inspired by the oasis-like feeling of an urban garden.
Pier 27 is one of San Francisco’s most unique wedding venues. With the ability to host events indoors or out with a seamless transition between the two, Pier 27 offers a versatile event space with the most incredible views. Taking full advantage of floor to ceiling windows, we set a modern wedding ceremony design in a classic black and white color palette. As the room was flooded with natural light, black acrylic chairs worked well in this space, paired with tall white orchids and cala lilys cascading from fresh floral arrangements. Day or night, this ceremony space delivers an impressive view for the newlyweds and guests alike.
Transitioning from ceremony to reception, our style quotient needed to level up. Adding deep emerald stationery accented with gold lettering and an artistic forest-inspired cake design, these seemingly small details added formality to the celebration.
Below you’ll see the tables set for a formal seated dinner. Here we kept the tablescape design fresh and unfussy by weaving floral arrangements down the center of each table. Ferns accented the individual arrangements dotted with anemones, white cymbidiums orchids, ranunculus, garden roses, veronicas, and sweet peas. The professionals at Paul Robertson Floral Design truly delivered on the idea of including lush foliage paired with delicate varieties of white blooms.
Finally, with a nod to Old Hollywood elegance, the bar and lounge seating area was set with glamorous details. Tables dazzled with sequined linens; sumptuous velvet sofas invited relaxation; and a spectacular crystal chandelier drew attention to the height and grandeur of the chic space.
In closing, we’d like to thank the following partners for their collaboration in this urban garden design.
